What it does

JUST THE FAX is a fax machine that lives in your phone, for no good reason at all. You feed it a photo or type a cover sheet, it screeches like a modem, and what crawls out is a genuine 1-bit fax — dithered to pure black and white, squashed to real fax proportions, with a header line and a dirty-roller streak through it. The mangling is the point. It is a joke you send to someone, not a tool. It does not deliver anything, and that is deliberate: a fax machine never delivered anything either, the phone line did. The app makes the picture and hands it to you; you send it however you already talk to people.
